Anonymous asks

Every ask is checked for harassment, threats, hate, self-harm encouragement, personal information and spam before you see it. Anything caught goes to a Filtered tab that stays closed unless you open it.

Anonymous means anonymous to you. We never show who sent an ask, but we keep enough to enforce rate limits and blocks, and to act on reports.

You’re in control

• Choose who can ask you: anyone, signed-in people only, or nobody.
• Block a sender from any ask. It works for anonymous senders too, and they aren’t told.
• Report an ask and it disappears from your inbox while our team reviews it.
• Nothing is public until you answer it, and you can unpublish an answer anytime.

Use the Report button on any box or ask, or write to the safety team. Safety messages are read first. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
